What to add to your trolley:
Optional: a squeeze of fresh Lemon juice
1. Cook the Gnocchi:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the gnocchi and cook according to the package instructions (usually until they float to the surface, about 2-3 minutes). Drain and set aside.
2. Prepare the Garlic Butter Sauce:
In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 - 2 minutes, until fragrant (be careful not to burn the garlic).
3. Combine the Gnocchi and sauce:
Add the cooked gnocchi to the pan with the garlic butter sauce. Toss gently to coat the gnocchi evenly. Sprinkle with parsley, salt, and pepper, and toss again.
4. Add Parmesan:
Remove the pan from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese. The cheese will melt slightly, coating the gnocchi in a creamy, flavourful layer.
5. Serve:
Plate the gnocchi and garnish with extra Parmesan, parsley, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice if desired.
6. Optional Add-ins:
Sautéed mushrooms Spinach/Kale Crispy bacon bits Toasted pine nuts for extra crunch
